Hadriel was part of the group of Fotch that entered the world after the great war to serve as a guardian. He was unassigned until twenty in the human world. He became the guardian of Kyle when he met him at the fotch parade when Kyle was 12. He posesses great skill in both the polearm and one-handed sword techniques. Hadriel's fiance, Judith, was another Fotch Guardian that cared for Samuel's foster family. Hadriel's journey throughout the story starts off with him meeting Kyle at the parade and chooses to be his guardian for reasons unrevealed. He stayed with Kyle for six years living in his house and watching over his friends and family. When the second war came about, he was 26 and accompanied Kyle into battle along with his other friends. Hadriel's fiance fell to the enemy at the siege of Wugars during the sack of Singaria. This marked the drastic change in Hadriel's easy-going attitude. He soon turned into a vengeful and angry being, showing no mercy even when his enemies pleaded. After talking to Kyle about Judith, he becomes overly emotional and is reduced to tears. The very morning after, Hadriel dies after being shot down from the sky by archers in the forests near George. He dies with Kyle beside him and returns to his easy going character after feeling a sense of release. Hadriel and Judith however return in their true Fotch form in the final battle at Incradia. Hadriel becomes a Fotch senior in the council and takes leadership of the Fotch after the war is over.
